Unsure about your Invisalign treatment? Some things to consider from The Garden Dental Practice

When it comes to cosmetic dental work, orthodontic procedures are topping the list in popularity.

As surprising as it sounds, many adults are choosing to undertake braces now rather than as children. Of course, these braces are not the all-too-familiar braces that you see children and teenagers wearing, but have been redesigned to be discreet and easier to fit around day-to-day life.

Indeed, some of the most commonly used braces among adults are even labelled as invisible braces. Of course, they are not invisible, but they are composed of clear plastic, which makes them practically invisible to the naked eye.

At The Garden Dental Practice, we are proud to be able to offer all of our suitable patients Invisalign Golders Green. Custom-fitted to move your teeth, this brace is the most discreet way to get the smile of your desire, without costing the earth or causing discomfort. Perfect!

However, when it comes to wearing Invisalign Golders Green, there are many nuances that you may initially overlook; it can be a bit jarring if both you and your friend undertake invisible braces and they only have 9 aligners and you have 14!

So, how might your experience with Invisalign Golders Green differ from someone else's?

Number of aligners

As mentioned earlier, it can seem odd when both you and your friend begin wearing this brace, and they have fewer aligners than you do.

Remember, each set of aligners is designed to move your teeth into the desired position. While you may think that you and your friend have similar smiles, there is probably a difference that you cannot see which our team will want to correct.

But don’t worry; even if your friend finishes this treatment before you do, you will still be on course to getting that gorgeous smile you want and deserve.

Length of treatment

As you may have guessed, while invisible braces offer an average treatment time of about 6 months, depending on the severity of the malocclusion being treated, your overall time wearing the brace may be longer (or shorter!).

As it is our mission at The Garden Dental Practice to ensure you get the best smile possible, we promise that it will be worth it in the long run!

Cost

With invisible braces, there is no set price.

In a similar vein to traditional or orthodontic braces, the final cost is based on the number of aligners, the length of the treatment and the dental visits that you will undertake.

Dental check-ups

Depending on how long or complex your case of misalignment is, you may also need to come in and see us more than another person who is wearing the same invisible brace.

While we don’t alter the brace, these appointments allow us to check on progress and make changes to your treatment if required.

Long-term effectiveness

Once the brace is off, we will recommend that you wear an aligner to keep your teeth straight.

If you don’t, then the long-term efficacy of the brace will vary.
