Is your smile missing out on the wonders of Invisalign in Golders Green?

Bringing beauty to the light

At The Garden Dental Practice, we are all about putting a smile on the faces of our patients. We love to see our patients glow with joy after undergoing a course of treatment and seeing the positive impact that it has had on both the way they feel, and how they look. We are dentists who recognise the mounting pressures that people - both young and old - are increasingly feeling, and the growing importance of looking your best. As such, we offer our patients an entire range of discreet orthodontics such as Invisalign in Golders Green, which gives them a chance to make a lasting, positive change to their tooth shape and smile - without attracting any unwanted attention or scrutiny from others.

What is cosmetic orthodontics?

Cosmetic orthodontics is the name of the branch of orthodontics which focuses - as orthodontics does - on correcting misaligned or crooked teeth. However, cosmetic orthodontics aim to do so in a more discreet and less noticeable fashion than traditional means. Invisalign in Golders Green is a cosmetic alternative to conventional, fused metal braces, which goes about solving misaligned teeth through an altogether different methodology than was previously thought possible. Invisalign in Golders Green does not work through the common mechanics of traditional braces - whereby brackets are fixed to the front and back of a patient's teeth, and connected through a metal wire - but rather through a single, removable dental retainer. This retainer does not require anything to be bonded to the patient’s teeth, and is made from an impression of each patient's unique dental structure. Inside the structure of each retainer there are uniquely placed pressure points, which apply a targeted amount of force to the teeth which the patients required to be shifted.

What is the attraction to Invisalign?

The main appeal of the Invisalign process over conventional orthodontics, is the freedom that the procedure affords to its patients. Whilst conventional braces, and most other forms of orthodontics, require something to be bonded or fixed in place for the duration of treatment, the Invisalign retainer can be taken out whenever the patient wishes to do so. Another massive appeal of the process, which may help to rationalise why it is one of the most highly sought after treatments for teenagers and young adults, is that the procedure has absolutely no impact on how patients look. This is possible as each retainer is constructed from a comfortable, yet durable transparent wafer-thin plastic. As it is moulded to fit the patient perfectly, and as it is see-through, when they place it over their teeth it practically vanishes from vision.

How do I go about getting Invisalign?

If this is the case, then simply visit our practice at The Garden Dental Practice to speak to one of our professionals about your options.
