There are 2 types of veeers. Both types are bonded to the tooth structure.
Filling material veneers are sculpted in the surgery and provide a value for money option. The filling material contains approximately 11% resin material which can lose some colour over time. There are several hundred patients who have had this type of veneer for more than 10 years. This is a skill that few dentists have.
The second type are laboratory porcelein veneers. The teeth are trimmed in the surgery and an impression taken so they are made by the laboratory and fired in an oven. There is no resin, so they keep their original colour. Two weeks later they are bonded to your teeth.
